For the first time in over two decades the Texas Longhorns and Houston Cougars will face one another on the gridiron. Texas holds a commanding 16-7-2 all-time lead against Houston, and Saturday’s contest will be the first and only time these two teams play one another as members of the Big 12.

The Cougars are sitting at 3-3, 1-2 on the season, and won their first Big 12 game last week on a last second Hail Mary against West Virginia. The Longhorns suffered their first loss of the season two weeks ago, but enjoyed a bye week that brought much-needed health to a handful of players.
