Why do we continue to underachieve and perform well below expectations

I have watched Texas football since 1968, during that time I have seen some great runs and some very lean years. But recently I have come to realize that based on the University`s resources, location and even it's  false reputation. We are the most underperforming under achieving football program in the Nation

Maybe DeLoss Dodds put the jinx on us , but we quit being the Jones decades ago, maybe we never were the program everyone wanted to be

Can the trend be changed, does Texas have the resources and the resolve  to become an elite football power again, or is the best we can hope for is to bring  a NC home every 20 years or so

I think you may have hit on the core of the problem, it used to be a big thing to get recruited by and get a scholarship to UT...I just dont see that anymore among recruits, when they list the final 4 schools that they are looking to attend, WE are NOT one of them

It looks like too much meddling in big decisions. No head coach gets hired without them onboard.
