I will say that the only move they've made with the unis – removing the numbers off the tops of the shoulder pads, is not one that I like.

I like the numbers up there.

So do I. Makes it easier to follow the players.

Back in the 70s and early 80s, what burnt orange you found in the store was a crap shoot. When they chose a specific panetone color in the mid 80s is when things became consistent.

And now they're not consistent again.

They seem to be going toward a brighter burnt orange.

Sometimes it is close Tenn &  even Clemson

They also got rid of the longhorn logo under the neck. 

I like the logo but it crowds the front of the jersey with the big12 logo, the nike logo, the word "Texas" and the longhorn. 

I'd prefer to drop the conference or nike logo but those are non negotiable.

I hate it, too. Its just a concept helmet. I do think Sark throws out something different at some point though.

I think so too. Something subtle, but I can see Sark shaking it up a bit for a game or two.

I don't think CDC is too interested in alternate uniforms. He seems to understand the value of the classic brand we have working in our favor. 

These are the two alternative uni's I remember:

These golden hat alternates for the OU game.

IMO, thats all it should be. Here and there. Throwbacks work for me.

I never liked the gold Bevo. Just didn't look right to me.

Idk...something like this with less orange; none on the sleeves and only the logo in orange on the jersey and no orange belt. Everything except the helmet logo and the jersey logo in black. Numbers, name, belt in matte black ???
