Right now it looks like Texas, Ohio State and then everyone else.

Oregon vs Ohio State this weekend will be telling, followed by Texas Georgia the following weekend.

I agree that punishment is needed. Saban would have suspended this guy. But it wouldn't have (and didn't) happen under Saban

yeah, he was out of control. When the coaches walked out on the field, that is about all they could do because they were out of time outs. The HC should have walked up the ref and said, we need to come out here and get this guy off the field and we'll take a delay of game to do it.

When coaches try to be "players" coaches, this is the kind of stuff that happens.

The polls are so weird. Georgia is ranked +2 ahead of Bama now, even though Bama beat Georgia head to head
Vandy only got 26 votes for Top 25 after dominating #1 Bama in time of possession but the hapless ags move up +10 after beating an overrated Mizzu team.

Make this make sense.

I bet we beat ousux and Ohio State beats the ducks leaps us to claim #1 spot. Musical chairs

But now consider the Georgia and Bama losses. Georgia's only loss is to top 10 Bama. Bama lost to Vanderbilt for crying out loud.

I can understand the Vandy kids running onto the field. It's not everyday you win after 60 straight losses to a top 5 team.

But the piggies, what they never beat a top 5 team before? Tenn wasn't even #1. They just put themselves into the Vandy camp of losers winning an improbable game. Are they in the MAC or something?

Yea I get what your saying but your logic is flawed. Its based on the polls of OPINION. How exactly does that in any way whatsoever beat actual head to head LOL

Thats just silly

Vandy might beat Georgia too. Just because they arent ranked in the polls of opinion doesnt mean anything. Bama did beat Georgia thats head to head and supersedes your argument for where they are ranked at the time when they lost to a different team. Vandy shouldnt be slept on that QB and RB were good.

42 minutes in time of possession!

Plus their defense held Bama to 66 yards rushing against Milroe.

Vanderbilt or not thats impressive regardless of your impression of them

I can't help but think Bama had a Georgia hangover. Vandy is good, but Bama isn't as bad as they showed.

That defensive player for Bama who threw a tantrum on the field and refused to come out when the HEAD COACH was demanding a substitution. I'd suspend that kid for the rest of the year.

The logic is actually not flawed. Rankings in general are a flawed exercise, especially early in the season. Some combination of power rankings based on how good a team is expected to be going forward and their past resume.

But you can't rank teams based soley on head to head results.

Bama has a big win over Georgia and a loss to Vanderbilt
Georgia has a big win over Clemson and a loss to Bama.

The wins are better for Bama but the loss is worse. Both factor in.

I am curious to see how those two are ranked by KFords Most Deserving Rankings tomorrow. An attempt at an objective approach to ranking teams based on the on field results.

Disagree completely.

Determining conference champions when tied is based on head to head, not some ridiculous notion of which team had the worst loss.

I could see where the worst loss might be a factor when head to head is not available but in this case it clearly is.

We aren't talking about conference championships, we are talking about top 25 rankings?

Conference rankings are a lot more accurate than Top 25 rankings because conference mates compete against all or at least most of the same teams.

There used to be a time when the AP decided the national champion. Thank god those days are gone.

Anyways this starting to blow my mind. Just seems to be over thinking it.

Whoever wins between 2 top 6 teams should be should be ranked ahead of the other especially if the records are identical AND this all happened within a week time span.
