Depending on how long Emmert takes to lay down the long hand of the NCAA law Bowlsby and Patterson may not get too much publicity.

Bowlsby will be the most interesting one. Maybe figure out if the Champions bowl requires a conference championship game. The other teams tomorrow I am interested in hearing about is Tuberville and Patterson.

Let's see how Bob does in his inaugural Media Day debut. I like the guy a lot - he seems to have a little too much slurpy for the Mountaineers though!

Bob Bowlsby spent 45 minutes this morning talking everything related to Big 12. He discussed tier three rights, the Penn State sanctions and the Champions Bowl. He expressed his excitement for the future of the conference and most notably he announced the Big 12 Coach of the Year Award will now be named after former interim Commissioner Chuck Neinas, for his work in assisting the conference through a difficult transition period with much success. Neinas facilitated the additions of TCU and West Virginia t the Big 12. He also mentioned that a joint RFP will be going out within 2 weeks (from the Big 12/SEC) for hosting the Champions Bowl.

More to come...

Two conference quarterbacks at the top of everyone's list are of course Landry Jones and Geno Smith. KSU's Klein is being thrown in the mix as well. After that it is all a grab.

10:00 am and TCU's Gary Patterson is answering questions.

Catch the Patterson Q&A Session below:

Easy to see why Bowlsby was picked. Smart, well spoken, and has the look of a real leader to match up against Slive, Delaney, and $cott

Gary Patterson said before TCU even plays one game in the Big 12 they are winners. He alluded to the stability of TCU now that they are competing in the conference. He mentioned TCU is still the same team, regardless of which conference they play in. To forget the past would be to forget the Rose Bowl win against Wisconsin.

Patterson on recruiting after Randy Riggs asked him if he has changed his recruiting philosophy since becoming part of the Big 12: "If anything I have backed off a little bit."

Patterson: I think TCU has a lot of things to offer folks that want to come to Fort Worth and watch a good football game. Great football atmosphere, great food... Shopping at the Galleria... Fort Worth offers a lot.

Oklahoma's Bob Stoops coming up in a few.

Catch Coach Stoops' Q&A Piece below:

Stoops when asked about the PSU issue: Children should always be protected. That's all I can say about that.

Stoops was asked about how he felt about bringing Mike Stoops back to coach the defense. Mentioned he was excited to have his brother back for both personal and team-related reasons. He has a lot of faith in Mike to maintain a solid defense. "Our track record of working and competing together speaks for itself."

A reporter asked Stoops if he would coach Landry Jones any different now that he was married. Stoops said no and mentioned that he (Jones) has a great wife and Josh Huepel is a great coach that will continue to mentor and coach Landry in a positive manner.

When asked about the running game and qb play in the league: There are a lot of good qb's and running backs in this league and you have to be aware of them each and every week.

Iowa State's Paul Rhoades up now.

Catch Paul Rhoades' Q&A Session Below:

Rhoades - Season ticket sales in 2012 have surpassed previous year sales. We have two players that are up for just about every award you can imagine. Johnson, our RB has been cleared to play.

"It's important to our fan base to beat Iowa." But just by beating Iowa doesn't mean you will win all your games in a given year.

We have an extremely tough schedule at home this season. You must protect your house. Our strength of schedule is highly ranked and our players need to embrace this or they won't survive.

Rhoades "We are going to put our most talented team on the field this season in a schedule that ranks as one of the top 5 most difficult in college football."
