The NFL Coach

Saban is a proven commodity (fact), the unkown is can he get along with Texas brass and deal with LHN?

Im a 49ers diehard and love me some Jim but for Texas I truly believe John has better personality. Jim will sh*t on brass and not think twice.

John > Nick >Jim

I thought I read an article saying he was frustrated by how busy and hectic his schedule was.

John would be way better than anyone else the Horns could sign.

I read that as well. A source close to him said he'd listen to Texas specifically too.

This would make me happy. And I'm sure that any hs coach in TX would welcome a Super Bowl winning coach into their school.

If you don't think Harbaugh, John is a grand slam please stop posting.

If John Harbaugh is ready to go, you offer him now. He shouldn't be considered a "backup" plan to Saban.

Actually, he has about 13 years of college coaching under his belt, so he has done that part of the job before. He'd have to get to know the Texas coaches, but hopefully Suddes will help him out in that (if he were to come).
I stand corrected.

Saban is my #1 candidate but I don't see how he takes a backseat to Saban when he did something he couldn't or quit on. Winning a Super Bowl title.

JH has 2 AFC championship game appearances and of course he it all last year.

Harbaugh would be a big time hire. He just needs to hire a really good staff around him of recruiters etc and away we go.

Harbaugh would be a great hire - glad Patterson is working on all options

What makes us believe he will be a great college coach? Here's his college experience.
Western Michigan University

(Running backs coach)

(Outside linebackers coach)

University of Pittsburgh

(Tight ends coach)

Morehead State University

(Special teams coach)

(Secondary coach)

University of Cincinnati

(Special teams coordinator)

Indiana University

(Special teams coordinator)

(Defensive backs coach)
most as a Special Teams coordinator.

JH - risk

NS - not so much.

I dont see what people see in John H. Could he be a great hire, yeah but there is significant risk. Sure he can flash the ring but you need more than that. Not saying he doesnt have it but who knows if he does.

Is Saban really without risk. I know what he's done before. Question is how long can he really be expected to sustain that effort and intensity given his age?

I thought McPhaul heard it was between saban, fisher, briles and strong. What am I missing? My head hurts

Thanks Eyes. But that is some random Michigan blog? McPhaul mentioned 4 Texas sources that said it would be one of those 4 coaches. Why are people so excited about news from a Michigan blog we know nothing about??
