Alderman – Texas has been steadily improving each week since the BYU loss. Even with the Longhorns sitting at 2-3, the rivalry matchup against OU is one where records can be thrown out. For Texas to pull out the upset, they will need to have a strong permormance from the Defensive line to plug holes when the Sooners run and pressure the QB (where Knight struggles) when they pass. Offensively, Texas matches up well but theyve got to execute and finish.
I've been going back and forth on this all week. I like the way Texas matches up against OU and I feel that execution will be much better on offense this week than it was last.

Carrara – The Sooners are reeling from last week’s loss to TCU and the Longhorns are less-than-comfortable sitting at 2-3 on the season. Something has to give. Will Swoopes remain calm under pressure? Will Trevor Knight? This game has the possibility to go a number of ways, both good and bad, for both teams. Texas QB Tyrone Swoopes needs to be confident and poised – and he needs to make throws when they count. Texas must win the turnover battle to have a chance at leaving the Cotton Bowl with a win. Charlie Strong hasn’t dished out many trick plays in his short tenure at Texas and this game provides a fantastic opportunity to do so. OU is talented and better than Texas on paper, but this game will remain close in the 4th quarter but OU pulls it out in Dallas.

Cotcher – Charlie Strong says this team is narrowly missing opportunities to make the plays necessary to win. According to him, that is the difference between 5-0 and 2-3. It's more complicated than that, but at the Cotton Bowl today, fans are going to get a look at what he's talking about. Buckle up, it's gonna be ugly.

Feeley – Texas will have to really pull out all the stops to get away with the win in this one. OU has a high powered offense, but as we have seen Texas' defense can hang with the big boys, at least for a while. Texas will need to win the turnover battle and stick to the ground attack to be effective.

Flanagan – Last year's RRS game was the end of the Blake Bell era for the Sooners and the beginning of the Trevor Knight era. I guess Trevor should thank Texas for that. This year, the Sooners were likely going to take Texas seriously. Now with the loss to TCU, they will be out for blood. They still have a chance at a Big 12 title and a playoff spot. They aren't going to let Texas ruin that. Charlie Strong's stubborn play-calling will likely ruin what could be a potential upset and the Sooners pull away late.

Hinton – We all know that you can throw stats and records out the window when it comes to the Red River Rivalry game, but do the Horns have enough offensive talent this year to pull another upset in Dallas? The Texas defense will continue to play well, keeping the Longhorns in the game, but I don't just don't see the offense finally turning it on this week on such a large stage. The Sooners leave Dallas with a victory.

Hopkins –The Longhorns are always preparing for the OU game. Judging by the effort our defense has displayed, we won't be getting blown out this year. Though our defense is strong, our offense won't be enough to stop OU.

Roach – I’ll use the proverbial cliché to throw the records out the window when rival teams clash, but saying that I think Texas will have to take drastic steps forward offensively to win this game. The Sooner offense is not as much of a threat in the air as they are on the ground behind Samaje Perine, and the Horns have had trouble stopping the run this season. The Texas defense will play well, but I don’t believe we see a big enough step forward from the offense. The defense will break as it has in past weeks late in the game to make the score bigger than it should be.
