i'm right here. been inactive because i've been busy with the fun associated with buying a new house. 

this arrest sounds like overzealous cops. i'm not worried about it. i'd be moderately surprised if the charges werent dropped. 

this arrest within the context of the past few months makes me raise my eyebrow a bit.

Come on Joe.... your not worried about the pattern ? I mean WTF is it going to take to get worried about? 1..2 or maybe 5 more arrest and then worry about it? I tell you one thing if I'm a parent I'm at least raising an eye brow....

It seems like somebody should start to worry. Trying to blame the police and sweep this incident under the rug is wrong. Some one needs to held accountable.

The ags will keep at least one FCS game on their schedule each year so their miscreants have a game to serve their second half suspensions. Never say Kevin Sumlin doesn't know how to send a clear message.

i think you misunderstood my point. i'm not worried about the specifics of this arrest. i dont think that ricky's wrongdoings were a huge deal, and again it wouldnt shock me if the charges were dropped 

i am starting to get concerned about the fact that another player got arrested, and what the tone of this offseason means for our program.

I wouldn't worry too much. From what I am hearing, the CSPD are "butthurt" and are out to get the tamu athletes. Just be patient. Once you guys go undefeated and win the national championship, all this will be forgotten and most other teams will have no choice but to understand Kevin Sumlin is a genius. In just a very few short months, the rest of college football will be forced to start encouraging their players to act more like aggys. Advantage aggy.

LOL!  Oh, please.  You KNOW the charges will be dropped.

Look, I don't really believe Sumlin doesn't care - of course he does.  But only in the sense that it might affect the play on the field.  Do you really think he is all that concerned about the kid himself?  I, also, think he is having a run of bad luck.  As far as RSJ?  Well, maybe his new insurance policy will cover things like this - who knows?

RSJ will have have his atty play the same games Manziel's atty played. Instead of the matter being handled in a timely fashion, it will be continued to until a year from now, he will eventually be assessed a fine and court costs and the other arrests on the team will have made RSJ's arrest old news. No need to suspend or punish him while he is "fighting for justice" and by the time the matter is settled, no one will remember there was never any accountability. its all about sending a message to the players and they obviously have received the message loud and clear.b

These arrests are going to be magnified if A&M finishes 6-6 or 7-5 this year. Right now Aggies can somewhat justify these actions because they think they have a hot shot coach that can win them a title. Throw in a mediocre season below expectations, these arrests will not sit well with Aggie fans. Do you really want to be the U, without the actual winning?

Last year they went 4-4 in conference losing to every ranked team they played, finished seventh in their conference and the celebrated their season. They live in a perpetual world of low expectations. If they go 4-0 against their OOC cupcakes and 2-6 in conference, it will be the first time in program history they will go to 4 straight bowl games and they will be thrilled.

We haven't seen the last of the arrests at tamu. 6-6 next year and the arrests will be "the cost of building a great program." They don't care about the arrests.

imo, part of the many ongoing issues as per "college station" are right within the very sentence as per mr. alaka...  "too easy".
