Sonny Cumbie and Texas

I have to admit that  I'm surprised we haven't heard something one way of the other yet.

TCU boards reporting that Cumbie's meeting with Patterson just ended.

I've got to run to the store so don't anybody let anything happen until I get back, okay? Thanks.[/quote

Grab me some Miller Lite while you're there.

K, thx.
Why? Do you have a snail infestation?  :P

Same. I was kind of expecting to know by noon today. Can't fault the man for taking his time to do what is best for his family.

It may be happening fellas. Flightaware has a plane leaving Ft. Worth in a few hours heading to Austin. Same company he flew home with last night, per Chris Hummer at Horns247!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plane leaves Fort Worth at 7:06. Lands in Austin at 7:36.

Whoever goes out to the airport, look for a Cessna Citation Excel (twin jet). Oh, and look for a curly headed guy getting off the plane.

There's also a chance that he is on the Learjet 60 that left Fort Worth at 4:19 and is landing in Austin at 4:53.

To this point its probably the biggest decision of his life. I admire his composure

TCU countered with their own offer. Money isn't as good as Texas and Meacham would still call plays.

Stil, caused a delay. Still expect this to happen.
The word "No" travels fast and we haven't heard it yet. We are still in the game

Makes sense. Wanted to give TCU a chance to counter with their best offer then go from there. I think if we see any movement on the Gilbert front the writing will be on the wall.

Cumbie met with Patterson. No decision either way yet. Cumbie was out recruiting for TCU the rest of the day. The clock is ticking.
