Somehow, it appears the Fiesta Bowl opponent would be Northern Illinois and their dual threat stud QB Jordan Lynch.

Fresno State's BCS hopes were busted by lowly San Jose State 62-52 today.

I would love to see us beat BU, ouSuxx, beat OSU and then play and win the Fiesta Bowl. Then Mack could retire after a BCS bowl victory and be proud.

I agree

Serious question. Would you still love that scenario if it meant Mack came back? I'm struggling with this.

The key word here is "could."

There's no guarantee, only a wish and hope. That's the frustrating and upsetting part.

It should not matter whether Mack comes back or not... we as Texas should root for victory at all times... its time for Mack to go... but I will never root against Texas no matter what. "Hookem Horns till the end till Gabriel blows his horn"

It's sad that the BCS Fiesta Bowl opponent is absolutely pathetic relative to the Cotton Bowl (Auburn or LSU) or Alamo Bowl (Oregon) options.

It's a "No Win" situation. If the Big 12 Representative Wins that game, they were supposed to destroy the "bcs buster". If you lose, you're the laughing stock of the conference and college football in general.

I really want to play LSU in the Cotton. I work with a number of LSU donors and alums and would love to face them. LSU has become my 2nd favorite team since I moved here and I'd probably try to make it to the game if possible.

I've been trying to get down to Death Valley for a game the past 2 years, but schedules have not worked out.

Serious answer, there is no scenario where I want Mack back.
