Alabama at #3 without a proven QB? So coaches think Alabama is better than Ohio St and LSU? Hmm. Preseason rankings are always good for a smile. Let's compare this poll with the final poll at the end of the season.

PS -  I hope Bevo stampedes Tuscaloosa. ?

I wonder if this was a shout out to FSU and Clemson (without mentioning the schools so not to create any legal issues). It was certainly not pointed at San Diego State, Oregon State or Baylor.

Yeah, they barely beat us with a heisman at QB. Now, they trot someone out there who is green. A win there could be easier than we think.

What a crock.  After 2024 the SEC could go from 8 to 9 games and expand the "inventory" by 12.5% , and since that 12.5% would be mostly rivalries, those extra games would add more then 12.5% of value. My guess is they will go to 9 games as soon as ESPN makes the SEC a reasonable offer.

Lots of noise about Florida State trying to escape their GOR, but that seems like a longshot.

Unless the ACC somehow implodes, or Notre Dame decides they want in, I don't see the SEC expanding for another 12 years.
