Yeah, that's why he was in Minnesota on NSD. Michigan had an offer/extension on the table before he left for Minnesota.
But if you remember UM cut Harbaugh's salary from $8M to $4M last year.  Gentleman Jim was probably a bit upset over that.

This seems crazy. When they hired him I wasn't convinced it was an upgrade,  but I would think you would give him at least another year.

Harsin has been successful at every stop.

Did he have this problem at every stop or just Auburn?
The perceived problem at Auburn is the number of athletes who are portaging out of there. It's caused a dust up because some of those players have given interviews where they claim Harsin is the problem. Auburn higher ups did exit interviews with them.

Kinda ticks me off because Harsin is trying to shed the program of entitlement culture and is having to fight administration to get it done.

Harbaugh did that voluntarily. His salary was not cut.

Harbaugh has now lost both coordinators.

Kinda weird seeing Miami steal coaches from a place like Michigan.

Michigan isn't what it once was I guess. The state is in some financial troubles so its probably tough to pay a coach 8 million a year.

you are going to have to remind me as to how successful Harsin was here at Texas.....I dont remember that at all....
Harsin wasn't an HC here and I think that's what he's talking about. Harsin shared OC duties with Major.

Don't underestimate our ability to make any coach look bad.

Seems like the people at Auburn think Harsin isn't willing to bend the rules, or find some other way to recruit at a high level.

If you can't recruit at a high level then it's hard to field a competitive team. Seems unfortunate if he looses his job because he refuses to cheat, although he obviously won't walk away empty handed.

At this point he has likely been put in an impossible situation.

It was cut. He did say he agreed… last year. In the contract he signed last year he went from the highest paid coach in the Big 10 to the eighth highest. Just saying…  no one that I know of has ever said that Harbaugh wasn’t petty. He may have gladly given the money to the college but that’s not what happened. After last year when there was talk of him being fired he signed an extension with a pay cut. And bonuses that could get him back to his previous salary if he performed.  He performed this year.
