Rochon or Wright?

I think we get some more wildcard stuff for sure. But they’ll let Ben Ballard and Cole Lourd play before moving Roschon to permanent qb I bet.

I’d like to point out that RoJo wasn’t moved to RB because he wasn’t cutting it at QB.  He volunteered due to a lack of RB depth.  I bet he can still throw a football.  He has a high football IQ, knows the blocking schemes and I bet he knows the route trees.  He could go wildcat and hit a few passes.  I bet we see it some this week

I would think so too, however, even in the K-state game he ran 31 times and only threw 1 pass.

He was a definite dual threat QB in HS and wasn't known as an ace thrower of the ball but certainly capable. Over 7k passing yards in his career and around 4k rushing yards.

I think Sark will weaponize every healthy player as much as possible over the next few weeks to give us some juice on offense. We will likely need it. If Roschon runs QB, defenses will cheat up against the run and when they do, I hope to see him make them pay.

Not this week. If RoJo runs the wildcat this week, it will be strictly runs. Now for the ouSux game, he might pass.

I would not be surprised if Wright wins the 2nd string QB job if he performs well against UTSA; Card is not trusted in the middle of the field to throw, almost all of his throws were on the outside, the only throw in the interior of the secondary that Card made was the Cain reception toward the end of the game. This means the coaching staff is very concerned with his ability to made decisions.

I think the chances are pretty good that the coaches don't share the same concerns with Card that you do. If Card is healthy, it would be huge surprise for him to lose the 2nd string QB job to Wright.

You go with the healthiest QB which is Wright...no telling how long Ewers is out, and putting Card on a gimpy ankle is a good way to end his year...Wrights need all the snaps you can get him, he may be our QB longer than anyone thinks...If you know UT history there are legends that were once third stringers, I never got to see him at AHS but it wasn't like he  was a nobody in Texas schoolboy football
see Randy McEachern.

No.

No, no, no.

They would never rush Ewers back to play against a UTSA. Why would you?

Card can barely walk.

Sark says what he says because thats what he wants the opposition to know or not know.
Ewers will be out for at least 3 weeks.  UT football medicine is very good, so I think we can count on Card starting and if we can roll up some points, we will see Wright.

The truth on Card. Swelling.

How long does a high ankle sprain take to heal? It might take you six to eight weeks to recover from a high ankle sprain. If you're an athlete, your return to play might take an even longer time. Low ankle sprains generally heal quicker than this.
Card doesn't have a high ankle sprain.  If he did, he would be in a cast, and he sure wouldn't have played three quarters of a game.

IMO, he starts against UTSA.

That's a great analysis. Hope it turns out like that. UT has the best Medical/Training program money can buy. He's probably going through serious treatment. Not sure if it's the same ankle as before?

everything I read tends to indicate Card will start and play against UTSA. If so I hope he plays as well as Johnny Depp seems to think he does.

Multiple Youtube's assuming Wright is starting. I'd prefer that, with Card as emergency backup. We have to see Wright play, and preferably not in conference without a test drive.

I'd love to see Card play well and never give up the rock, but I fear he is too hurt.
