peter o'toole was the consummate classy actor in my book. great character in lawrence of arabia. i watched that end to end not too long ago. there are several actors like that who all have british isle roots: david niven, sean o'connery, peter o'toole, michael caine, anthony hopkins, lawrence olivier and a number of others.

i guess i'm just a sucker for the accent.

Me too Slim. However, funny story. I was in London in January of 82 after a ski trip to Austria. Met up in London with my folks and one night we went to a pub, The Black Lab. There were some pretty young lasses there that night that took a liking to my Texas Dialect. I was laying it on pretty thick, trying to impress.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, turn around and there stood Sean Connery. He said something about my Texas Dialect and how authentic it was. He said it was so much better than what he was taught when he did a western that was shot in Italy. I had no idea Sean Connery had done a western. Anyway, he proceeds to tell a series of stories about the shoot and throws in that Bridget Bardot was really bad at sex. A thought that bothers me to this day.

The guy just LOVED telling stories. If I remember correctly he said he was about to or had just wrapped shooting Never Say Never Again.

The downside is that the hot girls left the pub somewhere during the stories and I stumbled back to the Hotel not knowing what had just happened.
