Who: Kansas Jayhawks 0-8 (0-5) vs. Texas Longhorns 3-5 (2-3)

When: Saturday November 7, 2015 at 7PM Central

Where: Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium - Austin, TX

Odds: Texas -28.5

The Good

Honestly there isn't much to go on.  The Jayhawks are winless under first year coach David Beaty, and the closest they've come to a win is a three point loss to FCS South Dakota State.  Junior running back Ke'aun Kinner is probably the best weapon the Jayhawks have.  Kinner has five touchdowns this year on nearly five yards per carry.  Safety Anthony Smithson leads the defense with 75 tackles and a forced fumble.  Other than that, Kansas was pretty much left talentless in the wake of Charlie Weis.

The Bad

There is a lot to go on here.  As bad as the Longhorns have been on offense, Kansas ranks behind Texas in nearly every offensive category.  Kansas has struggled all year with a rotation at quarterback between incumbent Montell Cozart and Ryan Willis.  Neither quarterback is scaring any defense with a pulse, while both have a pension for turnovers.  The Kansas defense is even worse, as the unit is giving up 580 yards per game and an average of 48 points.  If Texas wants to work on their passing game they will certainly have their chances against a woeful Kansas pass defense.

The Uncertain

Once again there shouldn't be a lot of uncertainty here.  Kansas might be the worst team in the FBS, and considering their opening loss of the season not the best team in the FCS.  As bad as Texas is reeling coming off of a loss in Ames, this is the perfect game to get healthy.

What's at stake

If for some reason Texas were to lose this game it would be devastating.  Kansas could probably count this season a success if they rolled into Austin and knocked off the Longhorns even if Texas isn't what they used to be.  Texas needs to win and honestly they need to do it with authority.  Texas isn't in the position to underestimate anyone, but this team needs to take care of business and keep bowl hopes alive.
