Guys & gals,

I just finished reading several of the threads over across the way at a couple of other sites.

I have said it before this season, but want to say it again. Thank you.

Thank you for being so level headed when it came to discussing baseball this season.

Thank you for not bashing the players and coaches at the first sign of adversity. (There are folks from the team that read this site and it is very much appreciated.)

Thank you for taking time to understand the game, and asking if you didn't know something, without having to worry about being flamed.

Thank you for having legitimate conversations, even when things were not going the way that we wanted them to go with this team during the season.

Thank you for sticking through this exciting ride with those of us here at Horn Sports.

Thank you for not cliff jumping at every bump in the road.

Thank you for the support when I couldn't make it for PBP

Thank you for changing your hat, shirt, chair, cocktail, beer cup or shoes, whenever the karma called for it.

Thank you for not attacking other posters on HS for differing opinions on coaching, strategies or lineups.

Thank you for keeping it light hearted, because there were certainly times when it could have gotten ugly.

I don't think y'all know how much better all of the above makes this place. So thank you.

I have been on the Longhorn message boards going back to the old Austin360.com & TheUniversity.com days. The community here is taking shape nicely, and those of you that participate on here make the experience enjoyable, akin to the "old days." Even when we disagree on topics, the discussion doesn't turn into a bitch fest. There are a LOT of "fans" out there that feel the need to crap on this team and the coaching staff at every single turn. Those "fans" are not here, and quite frankly, I am glad. I don't need a place that is always full of sunshine, (hell, I live in the PacNW,) but I do find productive banter refreshing as opposed to what goes on elsewhere.

Thank you all. The future of Longhorn sports is very bright, as is the future of this website. Enjoy the ride.

Have a good rest of your weekend and Hook Em!

We aren't always a level headed group, but baseball seems to be one of the areas of the athletics program we tend to be be rather level headed about. Probably because the baseball program is the most consistently performing of the three major men's sports. Coaches don't seem to want to be at Texas just for the money. They seem to want to be at Texas to win. Players don't seem to come here because they can skate through academics and get the the pros, they seem to come here because they want to play baseball at Texas. When the other programs frustrate the hell out of us, we always can count on the baseball program to end the sports year with something positive to reflect on. And now we can do it with beer. Ah, to be a Longhorn fan...

I would like to extend my sincere apology to the team, coaches, and fans for wearing the wrong Longhorn shirt for the first CWS game.  I accept the responsibility and commend the team for their efforts to fight through the adversity created by my poor choice.

Once I found the right combination of shirts, I wore them for each game, and I was perfectly willing to wear them as long as necessary.  As I noted earlier, the team, without complaint, took it upon themselves to valiantly fight through the adversity that my wardrobe malfunction caused, and I owe them a debt of gratitude.  It won't happen again.

joeywa kept me, and likely others, from stepping off the ledge mid-season when it looked like this team was going to disappoint.  Always kept the faith and was voice of reason.  Thanks buddy!

Took a scroll over to 247 and people are actually bashing the team and calling for Augie's head. Sometimes I really get frustrated with our fanbase, but glad the overall sentiment is not like that over here.

Can't believe how negative some people are. Geeeeez, we were a bounce or two away from being in the national title series and you are calling for Augie's head?

thanks, but i think its on me.  i had my lucky hat oriented 90 degrees off (i forgot that ameritrade is oriented differently than rosenblatt).  by the time i corrected it, the damage was done.

karma almost overcame my error, but in the end it just wasn't to be.

great post, joey.  thanks for the always bright outlook.

Blake is a 6'4" right handed pitcher who has shown a tremendous rate of improvement in the past couple of years. Blake's ability to command the strike zone, make adjustments, and his feel for pitching have allowed him to produce nothing but impressive outings all summer. In addition to his current success, his long frame and future upside made him a hot commodity among college coaches and scouts.

More arms is never a bad thing.

5th pitcher added to the 2015 class (4th RHP).  Like Joeywa said, the arms are plentiful thus far.

Jeff, we are saving all of our disdain for you.

J/K, you have done a great job this year, just as the team and Augie.

My sincere appreciation to all of you.
I'm with you Capn Hook if Jeff didn't miss the opener we don't go in the losers bracket. Boo this sunshine pumper joeywa. Boo him! ;)

Thanks again Jeff for spearheading a great year.
