If you believe in the power of prayer, please drop one today for one of Texas' past warriors, Johnny Lam Jones. Johnny has bone cancer and has been suffering. It's been crippling for him.

He's had some trouble with his shoulder related to this cancer which has caused him to have to sleep on the opposite shoulder side. Saturday, he fell out of bed and broke his arm.

He's just thankful he didn't break his neck or something.

He's maintaining a great attitude and spirit. The wars he fought on the grid iron are nothing compared to what he's been facing lately.

Here's a post from him from this morning:

"Getting ready to get back in the game of faith at Texas Oncology! Having a hairline fracture and small tear in my rotator cuff made it hard to get in and out of bed. Sleeping to close to the side of the bed was not a safe way to sleep.

I fell out of bed about 5:00 am Saturday morning and broke my arm just below the shoulder. Thank you God for your blessing! I could have just as easily broken my neck with the bone cancer I have."

Prayers to Lam. It wasn`t fair that the other teams played in slow-motion against Lam. his speed in todays football would be unfair endless tunnel screens, jet sweeps, and go routes at the pace offenses run now a team would need 6 corners to keep fresh. I haven`t seen that return in long time Lam was in a hurry and no one else was invited.Hook`em Lam

not totally sure, but I'm guessing Johnny saw this thread an hour or so ago. I sent him a link and know he read it

I think I saw every home game he ever played

I can even recall his first touch against ou, we ran a triple option with Lam in the backfield (4Q, game was over)

I also remember the Pam Burkhalter flips

Best wishes to him
