Now I know that the Pro Bowl has lost it's allure in recent years, but I wanted to take the time to recognize three former Texas players on the 2014 roster:
Jamaal Charles - Ranks 4th in total rushing yards at UT only behind Ricky Williams, Cedric Benson, and Earl Campbell. Two of these guys won the Heisman their senior year. JC went pro after his junior year. Oh what possibly could have been. 3x Pro Bowler in 3 out of 6 years.
Earl Thomas - Entered 2010 NFL draft as the youngest player eligible ever. Mike Mayock, former NFL player and current game and draft analyst for the NFL Network, stated that Earl Thomas has the best chance of resembling Ed Reed. 3x Pro Bowler in 3 out of 4 years.
Justin Tucker - Maybe the new "Mr Clutch" aka Adam Vinatieri. In his rookie year with the Ravens he made 32 out of 35 FG attempts earning himself a Super Bowl ring. In 2013 he literally scored the only points in an 18-16 win over the Lions including the game winning 61 yarder with under a minute to go. 1x Pro Bowler in 1 out of 2 years.
Needless to say, these guys are truly gifted. Here's hoping for long and fruitful careers for these three.
