Playing Torrey Pines South Course with one of my best friends. Any tips?

I'm also trying to find her a bf. Very successful lady fellas. VP of a PE firm.

I played there once right after the Buick open. Hire a spotter in case your ball goes in the rough.

The way they do the wait line for tee off on #1 is cool with the ball drop

Also, dont look over the cliff down at the beach - dont look ethel!

Is TP a mandatory caddy course?
No, not unless they've changed it in the last couple years since I played it.

My advice, enjoy the views cause its a tough course. Love that place.

You'll love it. Bring plenty of balls.

One of the hardest courses I worked. Lots of paces the ball goes to that we cameramen had a hell of a time getting to.

Many fond memories of going out with my old friend Gary McCord. He knows pretty much every inch of that city ( and across the border, but that's another story.)

Oh, there's a Coffee shop near Torrey Pines that serves one of the best cups I've ever had. Basically it's Espresso and Dark Chocolate. Don't get one before you play or you'll have the yips all day. You'll also not be able to sleep that night, but then it sounds like you don't sleep anyway. Take it from me. Cost me a bunch of money on that course. McCord is a sly bastard.

Thanks Pockey. I'll make sure to play my cheap balls in that case. Really looking forward to it!

If the wind is up, you'll likely have a miserable round. So afterward head over to the Cliffhanger Grill which is just South of TP. It's where the hang gliders take off from, which is really cool. They just have sandwiches but they are great. The owner is a fellow UT grad. He'll come sit and talk UT football as long as you let him.

Awesome! Thanks for the tips! I might have to hit stingers the entire time.

Whoaaaa! If you can hit a good stinger on a consistent basis you'll do fine. Don't be afraid to lay up. The penalty for a mistake on that course can ruin a round.

Seriously think about Cliffhangers. Lots of testosterone hangin around there. If you see where I'm going with that.

Thanks! We will! Maybe my gf can meet her future bf there!

Hahaha..Joey. Serious question bro.
I know. I wouldn't change your sticks. If you're used to hitting a flex shaft, stick with it. It's not likely to be gusting winds in the 40 MPH range. You should be just fine.
