SignUp Now!I was in there a few times. I'm foggy on the location. Was it a block south of Hut's? Didn't they have those heavy fishbowls? Seems like your beer glass still weighed a couple lbs when empty.when Jake's closed i entered a period of mourning that lasted several years. i'm still not completely over it, to be honest. Jake's was my Cheers.
Since you curl, does that ever so slight rotation they put on the rock make the path bend or is it the brooms?Yes it is one of the great viewing events of the winter Olympics - although it ranks with bowling in terms of athleticism.
Most rinks are smoke free zones, and modern society has taken much of the fun out of it. When I first started curling people would actually compete with a cigarette in their mouth and a glass of rye close at hand. You could take it with no ice and it would still stay cold.
yeah, it was on the corner of 5th and rio grande. it had those big heavy frosty glasses and mugs. the shuffleboard table had a left to right "fade" to it that you had to really learn how to play.I was in there a few times. Jeff whats it going to take to get you guys drinking a real drank Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey the drank for real men.If we're being honest, any place with scotch and a couple of Frauleins would qualify as "your Cheers."
It's gonna take some really hard times Jim.Jeff whats it going to take to get you guys drinking a real drank Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey the drank for real men.My friends y'all have a great week.
The rotation on the stone does makes the path bend (curl). By sweeping you make the ice surface slipperier which has the dual effect of making the stone curl less and making it go further. So really it's the rotation that curls it, and the sweeping helps control it. The sweeping can hugely change the trajectory and distance travelled.Since you curl, does that ever so slight rotation they put on the rock make the path bend or is it the brooms?
