The Big 10 part was pointless. But the sanctions are fair

Im not sure what censure is either...
Totally disagree on the TV aspect. The dynamics haven't changed to the point where a team can't be removed from TV. What it boils down to is the networks know PSU will draw because everyone loves to watch the accidents and the dumpster fire and PSU is now the biggest one on TV. This means $$$$ for the networks. Its kinda hard to ban them from TV with the dynamics being so much different than they used to be.
Plus, wtih them still being on TV, people are going to get a front row seat to watching them die a slow death. Its a constant viewable reminder of what they did. We knew SMU died, but no one really saw it, not like this.
Who would they replace them with? Why should the entire conference suffer because Pedophile State supported child rape? Extraction isnt easy, and then who do you bring in, plus the inability for the conference to avoid lawsuits for tortious interference and whatnot.Regardless if it's part of the punishment package, it's essentially a meaningless penalty with no bite to it.
Outside the monetary punishment, all that came from them was a "Hey look at us, we are punishing them as well".
If they wanted bite, they should have suspended them from the conference for 4 years and not put them on the Big10 Network.
The Big 10 got weaker today as a conference in football, they should have kicked them out. The conference already has a weak label to it, now it just got weaker.
Yes, they have changed. CFBTV is a multi billion dollar thing now, its never been that massive before. I dont care if its Indiana, you dont screw around the rest of the conference on TV revenue when this was Penn States fault to begin with.Totally disagree on the TV aspect. I could careless if people get to watch the slow death or not or if its a reminder of what they did. They should be removed from the conference and TV as well.
