Found this:I've heard about Chad's buyout but does anyone know the exact number? just curious if it's as big as people claim.
Thanks UTK. Damn that's pretty steep.Found this:
His buyout, however, is steep. According to the contract, if Morris leaves to accept a position as an assistant coach or coordinator from 2012-2014, he must pay Clemson a buyout equal to the sum of his annual total compensation multiplied by the years remaining on his contract. For example, if he left after next season, his buyout would be $6.5 million.
If he takes an assistant position from 2015-17, the buyout would decrease significantly; 25 percent of his annual salary multiplied by the years remaining on his deal.
His previous buyout? $50,000. If Morris leaves for a head coaching position, he will not have a buyout.
Holy crap would be right! Trifecta, bitches!Holy crap... Texas with a combo of Saban/Morris/Narduzzi....
I know Tom well...he would welcome an opportunity to come back to Texas. But he's in a GREAT spot right now. Personally, I would LOVE to have him as the OC at Texas.Herman is the OC at Ohio State and has ties to Texas. Pretty sure he was a GA here at one point. Ficknell is their DC and he's probably about to get fired.
Morris would be a homerun as he is among the top OC's in the country. The question would be whether or not he'd entertain leaving for other jobs or be promised to take over for Saban down the road. I'd take him in a heartbeat though.
I have a hard time believing Morris but if means he will come and turn around QB development at UT I am all for it. Speaking from the days at LT, the man can coach a QB!
