Chris Simms was a lousy college QB. But you've got to remember who his coaches were: (1) Greg Davis the Impotent - the worst OC in the Big 12 if not div. 1., and (2) Mack Brown the Imposter - the most overrated and overpaid so-called coach in college football history.

What exactly did he say that's so bad? I enjoy that the headline reads "Simms criticizes Brown" but the url link reads "Simms blasts Brown". Blasts?

Analysts are paid to have an opinion. He has an opinion. I strongly agree with his assertion that the early offers are not managed well.

Also, I'd strongly suggest that you go back and recall some of Chris Simms' moments. There were well-known implosions, but the utter mismanagement of the qb situation BY THE COACHING STAFF did neither Simms nor Applewhite any favors. Both were made worse by the keystone cops running the show.

I loathed him primarily for Mack starting him over Applewhite, like most of us did. Statistically the numbers between him and Applewhite are probably pretty close but those ever so painful INT after INT scarred me for life.

"Mack's bad decisions started by him playing me over Major Applewhite."
