If you have read the myriad of recruiting posts here on Horn Sports about North Shore Offensive Lineman Tyler Moore, you know that Joe Wickline has had an interest in Moore since his days of coaching at Ok. State.

We talked with Moore at the Nike Football Training Camp in Houston earlier this year and have kept up with his recruiting since then.  His offer list is growing and growing and tonight he received an offer from Texas.

Moore was scheduled to talk with Joe Wickline today at 3:00 pm and the phone call obviously went well.  Moore's teammate Tristian Houston has already committed to Texas and Moore reuniting with Houston on offense at UT would be ideal.

Stay tuned for Moore (no pun intended).

Will Mckay Tweet, "He worked out at Tech's Westfield camp last Wednesday. He had a really good day there, too.."

A previous poster listed his offer list. My response. Who gives a crap? Khalil Mack was only offered by Buffalo. Coaches don't evaluate players based off a "star system" and other teams that offer. Teams evaluate players based on their own evaluations. Kid is a good player if you watch his film. Has a little more development but he's a Wickline mold. Hope he joins the Longhorn family.

I will give Wickline the benefit of doubt here but his offer list is New Mexico, North Texas, Illinois, Minnesota, and La Tech.

What's your point? Do you evaluate players based on who else has offered? I'm sure you won't say a thing when he's offered by Tech, OU, Ohio State, etc come next year. Let me guess you also made fun of Omenihu's offer list until Florida and LSU offered him.

Using Khalil Mack as an example that stars do not matter is like using Bill Gates as an example as anyone can get rich. their are outliers. in every aspect of life. This kid may very well turn out to be a great player but to not be concerned that no other big time program has interest is just pure sunshine pumping.

My point is simple Wickline is a very good coach but newsflash other programs have good coaches too and for none of them to have interest is very perplexing.

There are outliers you bet. Pretty hilarious though that you jump to the conclusion that Moore can't be a good player merely because of his offer list. Do I think Moore will end up being to the caliber of Mack, who knows. But hey, I'm not jumping to the conclusion that he isn't good right off the bat based on an offer list.

Yep, coaches never evaluate talent incorrectly. Or maybe coaches are waiting to offer later. OU and Tech will be offering very soon. If we rolled with your recruiting style Omenihu would be at LSU or Florida right now.

I talk with Tyler frequently and this is a HUGE offer for him.  He's a great young man with intelligence and good football prowess.  I expect him to commit to Texas but I think OU will offer him as well, which he might show a little interest in.

FYI when I asked him a while ago about the possibility of playing with Tristian Houston at Texas, he had this to say:  If offered, me and Tristian would make it a North Shore thing!

Congrats to Tyler on the offer!

I never said he was not a good player. Hell he made turn out to be an All American but again the only reason this guy is on the radar is because the top talent right now is not giving us the time of day.

Yep. That's why we have 3 top 250 national players in Vahe, Weathersby and Major already committed on the O-Line.

Again, glad you aren't recruiting for us. Texas could easily have a top recruit on the o-line right now if they wanted him in Dyer. Guess what? This coaching staff actually evaluates players and doesn't just offer based on star ratings.

Don't second guess this kid.  I saw him work his tail off and I see the drive in him.  He works hard for what he has and he has what it takes to play at Texas.

You love to attack me personally every time we have a discussion. This pretty much validates that your argument has no facts or validity.

How many times the last few years have we gotten our asses kicked by kids who had an offer list which was "not Texas good"?

Kid has the frame to add more muscle. Strong work ethic. Good fundamentals. Just the type Wickline turns into a mauler.

If you read this kid, I hope you come here and crush it. Congrats for doing your thing and getting the offer you wanted.

If attacking = disagreeing then sure. I think it's widely known that Tyler reads this board and the first thing you do is bring up his offer list. Let the kid enjoy the moment for a second. First thing I did when I heard he got the offer is I went and congratulated him on Twitter, instead of criticizing his offer list. I'm done with this conversation.

We want you in Longhorn nation Tyler. Hook'em.

It's a message board my goodness. So what does that actually mean he reads the board? I never said one negative thing about the kid but even if I did "THIS IS A MESSAGE BOARD"  Good Lord dude
