I'm not a premium member (yet). I made a personal decision at the beginning of the year to cancel all my subscriptions, which had honestly gotten out of control. Not just the Longhorn sites, but magazines I never read, genealogy sites I never have time for, podcasts I never listen to, legal insurance I bought because a friend was selling it, AND etc. It sounds ridiculous when I lay it all out there, but over the years it had just accrued.
Of course no one really cares about any of that
I just wanted the site owners to know my decision had nothing to do with the content.
I was disappointed when the forums were shut off and am glad the decision was made to allow non-member discussions to take place. I also think it's a smart decision- keep people hanging around talking long enough and eventually they'll want to join the cool club.
Anyway, like any fledgling business they are trying to figure it all out and just wanted to provide some positive feedback.
