On a McGuire question, he just said he hasnt offered the TE job to anyone

He was strong on this point, elaborated a little bit  -- said the reverse order does not work

I'm a firm believer in this mentality. The history of sports is full of players that "wasted their talent" for one reason or another, but almost all of those reasons can be traced back to a lack of character and/or work ethic/discipline. Selecting players based on those attributes (in order) at a place like Louisville earned CFS the moniker "3* Charlie." But at a place like Texas, if it wasn't already, it should be abundantly clear after today that character and discipline don't come at the expense of athletic ability.

Weid about Boyd.  You keep hearing both.  One side says he was solid all the way and the other acts like he tried to crawl through the fax machine and get his LOI back.  Weird.

He won't be signing anytime soon. They could wait until June if they want him in the 2015 class. But more than likely he doesn't sign until next year as a part of 2016 class.

My take on what he said was that it is possible we will sign one in addition to a possible grad/transfer QB.  He did not say that we would, but seemed to indicate we might.  We have the space.  So, we will see if there ia anyone out there who fell through the cracks.
