-We need to see improvement. That's the most important thing.
-I've never thought we were going to be good this year, which is why I predicted 7-5 (and I'm a homer). The roster simply isn't any good outside the FR class. There's some pieces outside of the FR class, but not much. It is what it is.
-I honestly can't judge Watson or Swoopes. The O-line is terrible, absolutely terrible. Our best blocker is Williams, and he's a FR. Doyle and Flowers are just atrocious. I don't know what Wickline's gameplan is to beh honest. The talent simply isn't there outside of the '15 class, and they are going to make young mistakes.
-Defensively I don't think we were terrible. Like last year, they eventually wore down in the second half. Definitely some mistakes, but in all in all it wasn't terrible. Haines probably needs to be benched, but who are you going to roll with? Another FR? Like I said above, the roster is terrible and Haines is really the only choice unless you want to go younger.
-ND's offensive line dominated, but that will easily be the best offensive line we face this year.
-Heard or Swoopes really makes no difference if you ask me. Neither QB is going to succeed if the offensive line can't block. Heard won't make it through an entire game with this offensive line. I do think Heard gives us an option with his legs but should be used in certain spots.
-I think the writing is on the wall that we are about to go young. When I say young, younger than anyone expected. Guys like Boyd and Hager probably aren't ready but are just more talented than the other options we have in terms of upperclassman.
-The most important thing right now is recruiting. We have to stockpile some talent. Charlie said he needed another recruiting class for good reason. The roster isn't there and he's no dumbass. But there comes a point we have to stop blaming Mack and Strong has to start producing.
