My thoughts on Saturday's game

Heard gives us the best chance to win because of his dual threat ability.  Our O-line can't block for 4 seconds. So let Heard make use of his feet.
I can agree with that. Heard might be the best option for that very reason. All I know is that almost everyone during Fall and Spring practices said Swoopes looked better. Maybe Heard adds a different dimension.

I just hope throwing Heard into the fire doesn't get him killed or harm his development. Which I think both could happen.

Take it from a guy who studies film.

He was also knocked out in the first possession he took over.

Like I said, do you want Heard to get killed? I was honestly worried for Heard's safety with the way our O-line was blocking. According to the Texas football roster, Heard is 195 and Swoopes is 244. I have no doubt that played into Watson/Strong's mindset. Letting a 195 QB scramble around with our O-line is asking for disaster.

He said he loves all his QBs and wants to see them all succeed.

You are overthinking this. It's very simple, the staff thinks Swoopes is better right now. Based on practice reports from fall and spring practices, almost all the media felt the same way. If Heard was the better option he would be out there. Like I said, maybe Heard is a gamer. I hope he is, but that's just a prayer on our parts.

For the first time in a while, I'm disagreeing with you.

Tyrone is a known commodity. He was great in practice last year. He's great in practice this year. He's great in practice. We get it. Now, let's talk about the games he will be expected to play on Saturdays that to now, have been the real problem.

Any thinking coach would try another option besides the one that absolutely screams I WILL NOT WORK! Even if he is a prayer. Does Charlie Strong not need some serious friggin prayer right now?

Insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I think we're there.

Heard is able to avoid the rush, unlike Swoopes. So why is it ok to kill Swoopes and not Heard? Swoopes gets killed because he can't move? But you want to keep him in knowing he's a sitting duck back there and Watson wants to 5 and 7-step drop him?

You play your best guys. You don't end up saying "I didn't get to play in my career because my coach said the OL wasn't good enough." That worked last year, not this year.

How do u have 10 men on the field 3 different times on ST? In the same game.

Funny, I used the insanity argument earlier and I agree whole heartily with this post!
