Charlie Strong and player will be meeting with the media at 11:00 a.m. this morning. After a heartbreaking loss, it will be interesting to see what his demeanor is like. Stay tuned.

Injury update: Sitting with Andrew Beck in class. He has a sprained MCL. Fortunate that Texas is playing Kansas this week. Will most likely see tons of freshmen.

Good news on McMillon. I thought our run game took a hit when he's not in there. Maybe not stat speaking, but it seems like we had a lot 1 and 2 yard runs without him. With him those runs seem to go for 4 or 5 yards. Which make a HUGE difference

West Virginia has a great defense, but Vahe played horribly. Don't know what the deal with him is but Jake is an upgrade.

Strong: "The thing I really liked is how hard we played. We had our opportunities. When you play a good football team, you have to take advantage of them."

Strong: "It hurts. It's never a moral victory. Now we have to go to Lawerence and take on Kansas. We have no reason to get complacent."

Strong on Kansas: "We as coaches have to provide enthusiasm. You always feel like people come to watch you play. How many people are there doesn't matter."

Strong on job security: "We have to take this one and win this football game. We can't look down the road. We have to continue to to get better and win games."

Strong: "I look at how we are playing. I don't ever make excuses. These are games we should win. You still have a football team that is competing and playing hard. We were down 17-3 at one point and battled back."

Strong: "Guys walk into a game now expecting to win no matter what. It hurt us big time because we knew we should have won that game. It's all about pride. They all have so much pride in themselves."

Strong on Fenves: "Our president will take a long look at it. We still have to finish out the season. Let's see where we are at the end of the season."

Strong on road woes: "There is no reason we should have a let down at all. Our seniors deserve that. I don't think our guys will have a let down. We need to show that we can go on the road and win another football game."

Strong on Holton Hill: "It's a matter of what package we played. We didn't get to play a lot of dime on Saturday."

Strong on defense: "We still have to improve. 3rd down is an issue, we have to get on the field. Defensively it's always an improvement each and every game. We feel like if we get the ball back for our offense we will generate points."

Strong is immediately hammered with a question about offense not capitalizing on turnovers. Strong: "What happens is you face a really good defensive team. I'm not concerned. We can score and will be able to score. We know what our issues are."

Strong on kickoffs: "When the ball is kicked we just want to leave it down there. A lot of times the returners think they see a seam. It's about guys staying on their blocks."
