What should we be expecting from the meeting taking place tomorrow? Could it end up being resignation day? Hook 'Em

Expect the unexpected. Heck, it'll probably change a hundred times tomorrow. This has turned into a clusterfurk. The powers that be, no pun intended, need to step up and make a decision. The goat rope we've seen the past 48 hours is growing stale, IMO. It's time to poop or get off the pot! FWIW

To quote a friend's infamous one liner, I think it's going to be a case of "sit down, or I'll sit you down."

McMurphy@ESPN tweeted Mack is going to visit a recruit in Houston Fri. in early AM.

Is this more of Mack stalling the inevitable discussion? This is getting ridiculous.

Haha first I'd heard of this.

Told y'all. Saban isn't coming. Mack will drag this out and make Saban sign at Bama.

Tomorrow is the day for Biil Powers to be Presidential and put the well being of THE UNIVERSITY as his only goal

its a day for Steve Patterson to show that he is capable of leading the athletic dept and showing us that his reputation for being able to make the changes necessary werent just a smokescreen

and finally its day for Mack Brown to realize that he is not bigger than the university, he came here a virtual unknown and had all of us wondering WTH the day he was hired, he has done a nice job, but considering the assets and talent that has graced his program, he has underachieved. Its a day where he has to admit he has been given ample time to turn things around and has failed to bring UT back to National prominence. he has been well compensated for his service and will be taken care of well beyond his years, But his time has come and its time for Mack to walk the walk and the personnae that he has sold all these years at UT and be gracious in defeat as he was in victory...

If all three gentleman do their jobs THE UNIVERSITY will be the big winner, and after all that is what this is all about, its always been about THE UNIVERSITY

You're going to be so sad in a few days..

I'd think all of Mack's stalling is only pissing off Patterson and he'll have no choice but to flex some AD muscle.

The fact that Saban hasn't signed is a HUGE indicator that he's on his way to Austin. Just my thoughts though.

I totally agree. Saban could have crushed all these rumors a long time ago, but he hasn't. That is VERY encouraging. His silence is golden....or should I say BURNT ORANGE!

i don't think Mack is stalling. He's playing the game for Texas. He's taking a lot of heat but he's actually helping Texas right now in recruiting. At this stage it's all about the plan that has been laid forth. I think we'll have an official announcement on Monday. If Saban changes his mind Patterson is doing an exceptional job finding other alternatives.

i think some of us are forgetting that it has been 5 days since Mack lost to Baylor. calling this a "cluster$%%&" when it has been 5 days and we are about to announced a $50,000,000 deal and the retirement of a coach of 16 years seems very strange.

Good thoughts EM. I suppose my underlying fear is that the longer this gets drawn out the less chance there is of catching that big fish. In today's world where information is instantly disseminated this past week has felt long. Good practice of patience and faith in the process. Cheers and Hook'em.

Completely agree. A little encouragement from close friends should help as well.

I think if Saban is seriously considering the jump, this has absolutely no effect on him and his decision. He knows Mack is leaving and we are about to hire a top tier coach. Why would he sign an extension at Bama for less money overall (including business deals w/BMDs) just because it's 12/18 instead of 12/15. Saban is not being pressured by anyone for an autograph on the legal paperwork that determines his future.

I just believe we/he will wait for the appropriate time.
