Of course, Saban and Harbaugh (Jim, though of course extremely unlikely) would be my top choices, but that doesn't mean someone else won't be just as good overall

I don't know if this has been posted but it goes with what McPaul and others have been saying. I went to Baylor's 247 site a few minutes ago and clicked on the Update on Green Grass link. One of the staff guys Brian Ethridge went on a rant about Briles then said that there is a huge secret meeting in Austin tomorrow, also said the guest lost his bowl game as well. For those of you that can go on there he makes it clearer after a lot of anti-Briles posts, you have to read all of them. Towards the end of the thread another staff member Ashley Hodge said that only Texas would fire a 62yr old coach with a 77% winning percentage who beat OU by 16 only to hire a 62yr old coach with a 74% winning percentage who lost to OU by 14. I laughed at that comment and the Baylor people set her or him straight. Not trying to be rude by the her or him comment, I have always thought that Ashley Hodge is a female but lately I have read some things that make me think Ashley is a guy, I just don't want it to look like I am being a jerk. Anyway, they are grasping for any information just like we are. They hate Art if he leaves and love him if he stays. The main point of my post was to relay information from another source about Saban. Bobby B also mentioned Saban in his morning post but didn't get as detailed as the Baylor site. McPaul and the HS staff and Jesus and the IT staff have been on point with information. Good job guys

The interesting question about all of this is...

Is Patterson so determined to be his own man on this that he is not really paying attention to what the BMDs are wanting? I mean seriously he has not even met with the committee. I am sure he has had phone calls with them, but nothing formal. - if you believe what Chip is reporting.

The reason that question is important is because if that is the case then the information coming out of the BMD camps may be more of their wishes not what Patterson is going to do.

Not saying that is what I believe, just one of the angles that has been presented. If Patterson is so determined to make this "his" hire, then the amount of accurate information getting out goes down.

That was not the same OU team that we played in October. They have been "coached up". Something we could have really taken note of. Guess we finally did….mack is gone.
