Fellas the wait is almost over. Like stated before, let's just enjoy the ride. Half the fun of getting something is wanting it. In this case a coaching change. You know how you want something so bad and you finally get it and the wait is over and there is that semi let down. I just hope we all enjoy the hire whoever it is. In the long run only time will tell if we've made the right choice. In my mind at UT a mediocre coach should have multiple 10 win seasons along with conference championships at Texas with the resources that are provided to him. I'm thinking we will hear something early to mid next week. Just curious though, what peoples expectations are for the first 2-3 years?

Nothing yet. I went to bed at 2:00 am and got up about 8.
I can't eat, I can't sleep. There's always drinking though.

Staying opened minded going to give whoever the new skipper is an opportunity to win big which is what we all really want. The name is irrelevant the result is what matters.

Most media and football "experts" outside of our fan base actually think Mora Jr. would be an outstanding hire, a big name if you will.

Not saying that is who I want, but he, Briles, and Strong are not remotely close to being bad hire or failures by the media. Just our fan base.

Finebaum is an ass. I've heard nultiple people on the ESPN network that have claimed Mora would be a great hire when asked who Texas should look at

Regardless of who we hire, I would suggest pressing your mute button when Finebuam starts talking, unless of course it's right after a SEC team loses an out of conference game;-)

I seriously don't get why so many of you feel Mora Jr. would be a bad hire. I think he would be a good hire and good for the Texas program. Would I rather have Saban or Fisher? Sure I would. That said Mora Jr., Franklin, or Strong are all upgrades over what he had in Mack Brown the past 4 years.

Ironically Finebuam, is one of the talking heads (refuse to call him a sports anything) said he thinks Mora Jr. would be an excellent hire.

I do agree that guy is the worst I have heard on ESPN and that is really saying something.

Tinfoil hat conspiracy theory ...ESPN needs the SEC to hold the status quo with regard to the coaching staffs. Saban leaving would be like taking King Kong off the island...

She must've talked to my wife...she told me the same thing about the coaching search. I wanted to tell her what she could do with her opinion and her limited knowledge of coaching searches and of college football in general but decided that opening my mouth could endanger gratuitous nudity for awhile so I gave her a dirty look while she wasn't paying attention and did the dishes during halftime like she asked me to.

I made my husband read me twitter updates while I was driving for three hours, and promised three hours of quality time next week if he'll just let me make it over the next three days. I'm incurring some serious IOU's because of this damn HC search.
