I don't think he is great but my goodness, the position needs some energy to it from someone besides a true freshman. Texas would be crazy to not go after him. What would be the chances that he could step in under center as the starting QB in the fall were he to transfer?

I think it all depends on the status on Ash if we would see playing time.

If Ash isn't 100%, I firmly believe that Wittek will start day one. I'm still anticipating that we're going to hear an Ash retirement in the coming months. For his sake, I hope we don't.

He's not Case-like at all. He has legitimate D1 QB tools.

He has a much stronger arm than Case for sure. From limited film, he does make poor decisions. Then again, Lane Kiffin was his coach. Perhaps a change in scenery will improve his skill sets.

I think burning the redshirt was necessary. there was no one behind McCoy. be pissed off that he did not play significant minutes. that Mack Brown crap sent Gilbert into the NC game with no significant snaps.

Basically nothing like Case....better size and prospect coming out of HS. Some guys grow and mature when going elsewhere. Look at Gilbert and the year he had at SMU.

Ash is actually doing exceptional and shows NO signs of the concussion issues right now and hasn't for almost 6-8 weeks. Fully released by the specialist and is going through all workouts. Has looked exceptionally sharp too.
