Matthew Merrick Leaving The Football Team

Looking at the numbers, the loss of Merrick puts the Horns at 85 scholarships (That's including Reese Lietao). If Reese doesn't make it in then the Horns will be at 84 ships entering the season. With only 11 seniors and possibly losing Malik and Conner Williams to the draft, that's only a 2018 class of 14 recruits. Thats a small class, dont see how they can take 2 QBs with that small class.

Any chance they lose Tristan Houston, Cunney and another linemen this year?

Speaking of QB depth, do the Horns go after 2 QBs this cycle? Or just 1 and keep it at a constant 3 deep poisition with 4 every so often?
I'd grab two if you can swing it. I'd make sure whoever you are recruiting understands how thin you are at the position.

I don't want to speculate on names, but attrition is always a possibility.

I really don't want this thread to turn into a Strong bashing session.

Saying Strong is the worst coach over is also a bit over the top just because he wasn't successful in Austin.
Strong is the worst head coach in Longhorn football history. That's what having the worst winning percentage in the history of the program gets him. If he didn't want that reputation then he should've won more games.
