I know some haven't been high on the idea of bringing Brandon Harris in as a grad transfer, but this makes it a no brainer on my opinion.

Let's say Harris goes UNC, do the Horns think again about moving Heard back to QB? I know Heard has done well at the WR position, but is he that different than Harris in this offense?

His upside is at receiver so he is likely going to stay there. It has been said before he is an emergency QB option if things go horribly wrong.

Wow! Two scholarships QB's on the team. I'm glad I read that Buechele has added 12 lbs. He was 191 last year, so that makes around 203 lbs now.
No thanks to Shawn Watson. His first two QB's he recruited was Zack Gentry who was a TE who didn't come to UT, so we ended up with Kai Locksley. The second was Merrick. Shawn Watson was the worse coach ever.

Since Heard is probably the third best QB on the team then I would say if were down to our third string QB then that's a emergency QB option.

We will see if the position on Heard at QB changes, but something tells me the coaches may have known this was coming.

Admire Strong for believing in his assistants, but it was the wrong assistants to believe in. Hope Herman believes in his, but holds them accountable for mistakes.
Worst coach ever is the man who brought Shawn Watson to Texas. And kept him until being forced to demote him.

His loyalty to Watson bit him there even bough he wasn't necessarily a believer extending the scholarship. While you don't want to step on your OC's toes you have to draw a line somewhere.

I really don't want this thread to turn into a Strong bashing session.
Saying Strong is the worst coach over is also a bit over the top just because he wasn't successful in Austin.
Then why in the hell is it OK to say Sean Watson was the worst coach ever? Any clue? I think Strong is the worst coach at UT in my lifetime. How's that?

I'm not saying it is. Saying any coach who has sustained a career at this level is the worst is an overstatement because they obviously did something right to get there in the first place.
Sure Strong wasn't very successful at UT and the numbers back it up. It's just a horse that has been beat to death. He's fired and not coming back.
As far as Matthew Merrick is concerned, I'm more concerned about how the new staff is going to fill out their depth chart by the fall.
