Manziel

My aggy buddy is telling me that JFF is going to declare for the NFL Draft.
JF knows that his offensive weapons are gone. Oh yea that noise you hear is the aggies hyperventilating in collage station. They realize that there 15 minutes of fame might be sailing out the window. It would help if they cut 20,000 seats in the stadium they are building. My friends y'all have a great week

good! I'll be happy as long as the Texans don't draft him!
I have been fearful of this for a year or so.

The aggy connections with the local pro football team have been scary.

Not everyone appreciates the history at play here but Kubes was not the first aggy-Houston head coach -- they do not make the connection with Jack Pardee. Not to relive all that but both the Kubiak and Pardee* admins both ended in disaster.

Yet one of the names being floated now is yet another aggy -- Mike Sherman. It amazes me. Sign the Sherminator + draft Manziel = Reliant as a giant Whoopfest -- complete with overalls, crotch squeezing and the now hot cheerleaders replaced by a squad of all male Rick Perry wannabees. Shoot me now.

We had something like this once, with Bucky Richardson running around the Astrodome. Aggies were on Cloud 9 for this brief period. I went to the Oilers@Dallas game that season and you would not believe the amount of aggies there cheering soley for Bucky. They did not seem to care about either pro team. Only Bucky. Bucky F'n Richardson. I kid you not. They were loud and it all was very weird, especially in light of the fact that Bucky was obviously no good, way out of his depth (worse even than Keenum now). It was sort of like watching Forest Gump's smaller, less athletic brother just run around out there. Manziel to Houston will be this all over again X 100.

And the weirdest part of all this is that Bob McNair's son Cal, who is #2 in control of the Texans, played 4 years of football at UT. Cal needs to step up, intervene and put an end to all of this nonsense.

* ps -- If you were an Oiler fan who lived through the Pardee years, you should record and watch the NFL Network's "93 Oilers" playing on "A Football Life," while it is still playing. It is a 1-hr docu about all the things that happened that year -- the bad start, Buddy Ryan being hired, the RunN'Shoot, Babygate, Jeff Alm, Ryan punching Gilbride, the loss to Joe Montana in the playoffs (I was there for that too, sadly) and how it all led to the team moving. They interviewed almost everyone from those days, including Ryan and Gilbride. So much happened with that team, it is hard to believe. And what talent they had - Pro Bowlers all over the field.

it's been common knowledge that this would be johnny's last year at A&M since before the season started.

i dont think evans is 100% gone yet.

JFF Should sign with the Redskins then I can cheer even louder when he gets blown up week after week. Hate the deadskins ALMOST as much as I hate Aggy

I don't see Manziel having much potential as an NFL quarterback, but I could see someone possibly drafting him to play safety.

Damn, PorpositionJoe, I thought I was rid of you when I left Hornfans. You and your reasonable posts make it hard to blanket Aggies, which is something I like to do.

Welcome :)

Jeff Alm, oh my. A friend of mine is one of the top Sheriffs in Harris County. At that time he was a deputy and the first person to arrive at the scene. The accident was at 59 and 610 loop interchange near the Galleria. Jeff was not alone in the car so I was always befuddled why it was spun as a suicide.

Then my Sergeant friend confirmed to me what had only been a rumor at the time. This was from one of the first persons on the scene. It is amazing to me that the Oilers, Notre Dame and the Alm family were able to burry the sordid facts of that story. It was just to salacious at the time. People wouldn't believe it and it would have brought the whole Gay/Alternate Lifestyle issue straight to the NFL.

Before you call BS and doubt what my friend claimed I should tell you that when he isn't on duty he is the Pastor of small missionary Baptist Church. He doesn't take a dime from his church and due to its location it will not ever become a mega church. I go every now and then and gotta admit it is one good time. They Rock! It's probably a site to see a sea of singing, swaying Black folks worshiping with every once of their Soul and that one whit dude with no rhythm, no pitch and no tan attempting to keep step with them.

Don't care much about JFF. Glad we don't have to listen to those Aggie sunshine pumpers about how great he and they are, at 8-4, every year.

Hello 6-6 ags!
