Tulsa didn't have a TE in the top 8 of receptions last year under Gilbert.  We sure seem to be talking a great deal about a position that basically is used for blocking in short yardage situations under the current regime.  Maybe Tennison would change that, but that sure would be a switch in philosophy for this staff.

Texas needs a tight end. Texas just doesn't need a tight end who wakes up every morning wishing he was playing for another school.

If Charlie Strong offers a scholarship to Major Tennison in a year where scholarships are in short supply, Tennison better deliver immediately and substantially. I don't think Tennison can do that.

Until Charlie starts delivering 11 win seasons year in and year out he can't afford to start signing players who honestly don't want to play for Texas.

I began this song way back when by saying I didn't want him unless his heart's in the right place. However, I never imagined that complaint would be parlayed into something, well, outright bizarre.

There is a ton of assumption performed in your post, apparently done to make an 18-year-old look like shit. I seriously doubt anyone on planet earth is going to punish themselves with four years in a place they don't want to be. And I have greater concerns for someone who seems bent on seeing it that way and that way only.

Why should an 18-year old suffer because you decided to jump on an agenda? You're making him look like caca here for no reason, and in the process you're doing the same thing to yourself - AGAIN.

We have plenty of TE's in the fold. This one would have NO PRESSURE to deliver his freshman year. That's you making shit up again.

Dang Duke!! Tell us how you really feel about Tennison???? Lol... Guess we'll agree to disagree on this one.  I think you're letting your dislike for this kid cloud your judgment.  He is a baller.  TE is not a position of dire need, but the more weapons that you have at different positions, the more dangerous that your offense becomes.  He doesn't need to come in and be Gronk, just catch 2-4 balls a game, help move the chains and be a solid blocker and watch the WR/RBs do the bulk of the damage.
