Brown joins South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier, Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez, and Maryland coach Randy Edsall as coaches who have voiced their support for athletes receive compensation.

Brown’s Red River rival Bob Stoops is on the other side of the aisle, claiming that players already get enough return for their efforts with their scholarships.

The pay for play debate, eh? How much do Tennis players make? What about archers? Does a Houston Street make more than a 2nd string football player? Too many scenarios to be ironed out. As it stands now I think Stoops has it right. Without any details as to how the system of paying players would work I vote NO.
