Ketch on OB is saying that he just heard from a reliable source on Bama side that Saban has accepted the new deal and an announcement will be coming very soon.

Gonna need more confirmation than Ketch. Bama site says the deal is not signed...which means about the same as the last few weeks with it sitting on Saban's desk

This can't be true IT just issued their update saying nothing had changed with Saban. What are we suppose to believe?

Saban is not coming.. Time to move on. If he does I will gladly bow to all those who said he was. Time to get a real coaching search started..

The job has to be open before there is a next in line.

Id be more worried about the nuclear meltdown once that extension is signed.

This.

Ketch has already admitted to posting under other aliases to drive site visits/reads.

I wouldn't trust him any further than I could throw him.

My two cents.

was posted their sources are telling them nothing has fallen though with Texas and that they werent surprised Bama is pushing to get Saban to agree to something before Texas is open. Who knows what is happening at this moment

Some have claimed Tiderinsider.com have reported the deal to stay at Bama is done, but now they say nothing is signed

I do believe that those heading up the Saban search believe/believed they have/had a real chance to get him. I also believe the info they passed on to people was from this belief. I just think the BMD's got caught up in it. But hey again we will know for sure soon enough

Today is basically the polar opposite of Wednesday. There was smoke coming out all over the place that Saban was coming to Texas, but no contracts signed, etc. Today, it's reports of Saban signing an extension, but nothing signed.

Basically all just conjecture and sources on both sides giving different info.

No facts yet, folks.

I agree but Saban staying at Bama is much more believable than it ever was about him coming to Texas. I'm afraid this is more likely to be true than the rumors we heard Wednesday.

So the big money guys who aren't accountable to anyone have put UT out in the spotlight and totally fu@ked us. Nice. And now they get to repeat the process because there isn't anybody to say "enough." Nice.

Now, can someone tell me again why we are paying Steve Patterson over $1mil/yr to manage our athletics department if he isn't compent enough to be handling these matters personally?
