In the 1969 SMU game, Texas rushed for 611 yards which still stands as the school record for a game. The only negative that I can find from that stat is that half of the 8 running backs who played failed to rush for 100 yards in that game.

Interestingly enough, while Texas won that game 45-14, theywere only up 10-6 midway through the 3rd quarter.
