Let’s watch it develop… I am sure there was some gamesmanship versus Rice when it comes to game plan and formations. Don’t choose early narrative because it doesn’t fit your narrative,
My fellow longhorn fan it is not a narrative just an observation.

What’s more troubling to me is the seeming lack of development since last year.
Sark said Rice's D broke every tendency they had from last season, and it took time for the OL to adjust. Hence the third quarter scoring burst of three straight TDs. So, apparently, the coaches do know how to make effective game-time adjustments.

Ok I can accept that but the larger question is why were they not prepared in the first place.

If Bama does something unexpected and it takes us a half to figure it out it’s going to make it tough to win.

Good footwork is a lot easier when you're not running from the defense.

It's certainly not good when you are running from the Rice defense.

But I've also seen a video of every one of Ewers's incompletions and he is not running from them more times than he is.

Make sure to watch the clip above. 3 of the 6 passes Quinn has a clean pocket and doesn't step fully into the ball and leaves it short or out of bounds.

Is he trigger shy after his injury last year? I am not sure the answer but he's gotta get the ball out there and catchable.

Okay guys we will win every game.  Ewers wins the heisman.  Sark is coach of the year.  And we do the same next year but with Arch winning the heisman.  Did I miss anything?

If you're Rice, you have to try something like that. What else are you going to do?

If you're Bama, you laugh at the idea. Stop us is what they're thinking.

That is probably just as crazy as one saying the wheels are falling off.

It was one game.

One.

Game.

Never said the wheels were falling off.  That’s the point.  If you make an observation that we are deficient in any area and or that you are concerned some seem to be offended.

The way I feel.  It’s not time to panic but there is nothing wrong with being concerned with the way we looked on the o-line and at QB.

I am respectful of everyone’s right to have an opinion even if I disagree with it.  Time will prove whether my concerns are misplace or not. That will not be determined by someone’s ability to dismiss or argue the opposite position on the board.

Do you really think the coaches spent any significant time preparing for Rice with 'Bama next? Me neither. I suspect they pretty much winged it against Rice with vanilla game plans and adjusted on the fly. The Rice game was more about putting looks on film for 'Bama and hiding others. They certainly could have blown out Rice if that had been the primary objective aside from just winning. They've most likely been spending months getting ready for 'Bama and maybe a few hours prepping for Rice.

I thought was suppose prepare all teams instead of looking ahead.

DKR was asked if he was going to pass more against ND in the Cotton Bowl in 1969 when Texas was coming in undefeated and had the wishbone humming. Reporters suggested he could fould up the ND defense by passing....His answer is now legendary.....he simply said..."we are gonna dance with the one that brung us"

Why in hell would Bama change anything?

No? No, there's no sound of panic here. Heres your post again.

You're upset that everyone else isn't as freaked out about our team as you are?
