Since we're in the football desert and I'm bored, I put together a best ever by position for defense. Argue away because this was not easy. I struggled to put Nobis on this list.

my bad....I am not at all pissed. I am p;eased you young guys will at least pay some attention to past greatness. Nobis was only allowed to play 3 years( no freshmen could play varsity in those days) so he will not be in the record books......but when you consider that he averaged almost 20 tackles per game and you figure he played in about 30 games....well.....thats a big number.

If Thompson  can play like second half of bowl game or staff can coach an improvement like they did Jones QB will befine.

OL unless injuries strike should be better, Depends on Jones development.

WR big problem is health. May two orthree step up

In power rating of 130 teams, Texas is rated higher than all oppoents except OU.Okie lite and Iowa St.are close. Pigs are #53 to Texas #17.
