Event:

Men's 4 X 100-meter freestyle relay.

Time: Today/Sunday 1:45 PM

Player to watch:

Jimmy Feigen is 22 years and a Longhorn.

Jimmy is keeping a diary and writes about today:

My race day is here. This is the moment I've waited almost two decades for. I've put in tens of thousands of hours in the pool and gone millions of yards. This has decided everything, from whether I sacrifice a night out with friends to what college to go to. I've earned my right to be here with the best in the world. It's my duty as an American to fight harder than I have ever fought, and to represent this country with dignity, poise and excellence.

Of course, I'll be nervous, but nervous is what I train for. I love to feel the rush of adrenaline, the electricity flowing through my veins. This is the world stage, and this is an opportunity for me to step up and go above and beyond my wildest dreams.

I'm swimming the leadoff leg in the preliminaries, and I have a pretty good shot of representing USA in the nighttime final. Michael Phelps, Nathan Adrian and Cullen Jones are all probably swimming the final, and I must be the fastest swimmer on the morning relay to get the fourth spot.

I’ll never forget being a kid at swim camp, and Josh Davis saying that anyone can be an Olympian. You just have to work real hard and believe in yourself. When you’re a kid, you think that’s just something Josh says to everyone, but it was really true. Work harder than you thought you could, and believe that you can do it

Update: 3:10 PM..France hunts down Lochte and wins the Gold with USA winning the Silver..Huge surprise because Lochte had a .55 but couldn't hold on. Michael Phelps swam his ass off in the second leg..Feigen didn't swim in the semis or the finals but gets a Silver Medal..
