ESPNs Chris Low is reporting that Jimbo Fisher could be a candidate if the Texas job is open! Max olson tweeted out the story!

Not really news as far as I'm concerned. A lot of guys will be candidates if the Texas job comes open. I just read the article and Low doesn't say anything other than Texas may be able to get Jimbo by paying him more than FSU can. Please feel free to correct me if there is some other report or evidence that I missed.

I think he would be a good fit for Texas and think he would be a great coach. How about pulling the current National Championship coach away from the team the year they win the NC. How demoralizing for FSU. (Of course I feel they will likely win the NC at this point)

Pass. That team is going to implode soon.
Yes I am with you.....a lot of bad Team situation with education and team maturity. Coaches not controlling the Tribe.

Doubtful. Have you read the article about football players intimidating faculty at FSU? It's quite damning and doesn't even include the alleged Winston issue.

I'd take Jimbo in a heartbeat, stories from professors be damned. I just don't think that guy is going to leave after this year with another year of Winston guaranteed.

We aren't going to wait for a coach in the title game IMO.

But if Alabama wouldve gotten there they wouldve waited for Saban? come on guy. I think they will wait for the right guy if they believe its fisher.

FSU is about to win the MNC in a rout and they have most of the team back for 2014. I doubt Fisher leaves for UT but FSU has HUGE financial problems and Fisher was very unhappy that FSU stayed in the ACC rather than moving to the Big 12 because ACC TV revenues are much less than the SEC and the other major conferences. He is also unhappy that he cannot pay his assistants at anything close to a Tier 1 level. The facilities at FSU are also substandard by current Tier 1 standards and FSU does not have the big donor base to do anything about it. Maybe a MNC or 2 will change the money dynamic but it is unlikely.

Ok that helps a bit. I havent heard of him before.

Chris knows EVERYTHING people.
