It's too quiet

Given the different timelines that were given this thing to be over and Mack to step down, sure is quiet. Maybe the end soon?

This thing feels like a Mexican standoff to me. Mack doesn't announce he's stepping down until UT has a commitment from his successor, and Saban won't commit to anything until Mack is out of the picture. It's kinda like the two are playing chicken, and one of the two, probably Saban, who's in a better position, will blink and sign the 'Bama extension that gives him a million dollar a year raise. UT then moves on to Plan B, assuming UT HAS a Plan B. The only other way it can go is Mack steps down, and UT gives Saban a deadline of this weekend to decide, before moving on to Plan B. Just figuring out these contingencies is already starting to give me a headache.

Compared to the info that has come out the past 2 or 3 days, it has been eerily quiet today on the news front.
