Interesting....

Attorney-client privilege exists in all attorney-client communications. It belongs to the client.

A statement of "contract document for UT with the terms of 8.75 mil a year, for 6 years ending at 10" is nondescript enough that it probably doesn't violate it unless there are other confidentiality agreements in place. That said, I'd guess more information was imparted and, suffice it to say that any attorney would be wise to just keep quiet about these sorts of things. But some just can't help themselves it would seem.

True, but the client here is the University. So anyone within the University that has knowledge of the contract (probably only a handful of people, but enough) could have leaked anything they wanted. What I'm trying to say is that I doubt the leak came from the attorney, but probably someone at Texas who works close to the attorney.

Based on years working in DC, in my opinion the worst leakers in the world are attorneys.

ok, i am ignorant, why should I prefer John over Jim and vice versa? Both seem great, I am just honestly curious because I am not an NFL fan and I just don't know much about either guy.

This^ Typically your first leaks come from people with monetary influece (BMD's) and agents. Once the talks get to contracts and formal offers, attorney's talk and typically don't care much about the sensitivity of the info.

Privilege and confidentiality aside, from whatever source the leak originated, I'd be willing to bet that the information was supposed to be under wraps. Whoever said anything shouldn't have. But aren't we glad they can't resist given our hunger for information. :)

FYI, Dmitri is said to get a lot of his info/rumblings from the agent side of things.

another connected poster at IT heard the same thing Dimitri did regarding this kinda thing being worked on

Hmmmm, IT just pulled down Dmitri's post.
with someone else going in that thread and posting they had heard the same things Dimtri had maybe they were told by someone to remove it as had too much info

what did it say?
Was a well written post saying that time will show who was most accurate between Chip and Jesus once we hire a new HC. The post presented some good questions such as whether Chip's sources were Belmont leaning or if Jesus had sources who are BMD's that aren't necessarily going to get their way. I didn't think it was negative at all and actually very well thought out.

Nah, it was probably Dimitri himself. IT rarely pulls down a post - unless it breaks their stated rules.

Dimitri is a good kid and means well. He enjoys being cryptic with teasers, which gets him into trouble with some of the members. Particularly, one self centered lawyer that really viciously and constantly attacks him.
