I asked ketch a few times but he always ignored it.

I think a forum where no negative posts were allowed would be cool. Call it the thought police board or something.

But it would be nice to only read threads on game week about how we are going to win. And not every thread turns into a Mack bash. Just an idea

No way.

This place would suck if there wasn't open discussion with differing opinions. Over policing is aggy.

Prefer to explore reality, not fluff. Have no problem and ready and waiting to back a competent HC and staff, but very tired of the priortization of revenue and the de-emphasis of performance and accountability.

Maybe that happens because Mack suxxx. You want positive, you need a new coach

So I can't tell you to kiss my ass here?

Edit: That was actually a joke directed at the OP for his convo with Ketch and being an "all positive" thread.

The other thread had a guy that threw rocks from a glass house. There is no excuse for telling a mod to kiss your ass when he did nothing remotely close to warranting it.

It was the delivery, not the opinion.

I think we should encourage all range of opinions and constructive criticism.

Let's just leave the ridicule or vitriol at the door.

It started by calling out so-called insiders, remained surprisingly civil for a while and then got off tracks.

But it all started with the original approach, not the unpopular opinion.

The OP of that thread kept telling ppl to show him proof that Mack wasn't coming back, yet the OP doesn't realize he failed to show that all "insiders" are fake (as he indirectly claimed throughout).

Next time we should make a small edit and a pm as to why it was made. Same approach to responses ridiculing the opinion.

Repeat offenders in the same thread should be put in timeout after a fair warning has been ignored.

If a thread is getting out of hand, temporarily lock it, edit it, make an alert post in the thread and then unlock after a break period.

But differing opinions should be encouraged. There's no debate without it.

JMO, of course.

All valid points. There was name calling by all parties involved. I think asking for proof that Mack was not coming back is a valid question as well. I actually chimed in and disagreed with the OP in that thread but with that said I also know him and he felt attacked as well. I just think everyone here has a lot of passion and we are all on edge and pissed at the current state of UT athletics..

I like having conversations where no one disagrees with what I say. We just blow sunshine up each others a$$es.

Jeez, what a waste of time. It's a board for discussion. That can't happen without differing points of view.

True.

But it has to be done with some level of respect for one another.

There is no way to prove either way until an announcement. That doesn't mean you need to call out posters.

I think a select few of us know who some of these ppl talk to.

Take out a couple of sentences and the original thread was a good write-up, although I strongly disagree with his opinion.

I saw one response in need of an edit in the early stages and then the starter of the thread just went off the deep end.

After that a few other posters joined in the pissing match.

Just need to voice opinions without directing it at each other. I'm also against calling the public figures names as well. They are public figures and can definitely have their jobs called out, but not on a personal level.

Most of the posters in the thread kept it civil.

There's a good balance and we need to strive to find it.

I want honesty, I don't want sunshine pumping. Leave that to Mack.
