If true, prepare to lose some recruits on the offensive side of the ball. This is a pathetic hire, if it comes to fruition. Strong probably has an open check book to get this right and if he settles with Watson, my enthusiasm with Strong will have gone from being stoked to being borderline pissed.

Go look at his offenses while at Nebraska in the same conference he's about to face again. They were pitiful. Did you watch the Big 12 title game where their defense basically scored all their points?

Texas is a spread state. We need a spread OC. Watson is not that guy. Who are you going to want to play for? Him or Briles? Sumlin? Kingsbury? Etc.

Surely, this cannot be the type of staff that Strong reportedly sold in his interview which helped propel him to the top of the list....can it? Please tell me these talks are just a courtesy to a former staffer so as to not hurt his feelings and that they will go no further.
