What mentality is that?I am always open to hearing if my perspective isn’t accurate... but I am uber unhappy with the mentality that Herman brings to this program. Unless that shifts we are going to lose a lot of games that we could and should win.
I do believe we have improved over last year and think we will get better next year as well. But there are still some things on the coaches that needs to be cleaned up.was still a good season. Were on the right track!
Everyone should be.Maybe I'm stupid, naïve or just a pumper but I'm pleased with the direction this program is headed.
Welcome to the pumper group. Your membership form and pin are in the mail as I type. In regards to Herman's mentality, how can you not be excited about what he brings. Previous coaches teams would've quit after WVU. This team was in every single game they played. Herman brought a fight and never quit attitude that permeated throughout the team.Maybe I'm stupid, naïve or just a pumper but I'm pleased with the direction this program is headed.
Agree.I do believe we have improved over last year and think we will get better next year as well. But there are still some things on the coaches that needs to be cleaned up.
The approach that winning by 1 point is ok. I know he’s voiced that position. That doesn’t work. 1, nobody else across cfb coaches that way. 2, it feels like the team understands that’s his approach... so whenever we get a lead, there seems to be a palpable change in the teams intensity and the plays called. We scored first in this game and on the second drive we QUICKLY went 3 and out on some real cute, bad, play calls. We left a lot of points on the field today. Herman has also said he doesn’t believe in momentum, many times, and he’s also alone in that one... these are 18-22 year old kids, momentum is huge and Herman has not proven the ability to keep and maintain it. Which makes sense, since he doesn’t think momentum is a real thing. What mentality is that?
I believe wholly that we have improved and that is awesome... best season in a long time... but we could have won more than a couple of the games we lost... were in position to win, but lost, and that’s frustrating.Agree.
One of areas that needs to be cleaned up is the OL. They did not have a very good game today. The difference in OU's OL and ours was startling.
I love Brandon Jones, but I'm not sure I buy he is a 1-3 round pick this year. I think he will be told that its recommended he return for his senior year to improve his ball and coverage skills. That's just my opinion though. Whether he listens to that and stays is a different story. We get 2 more years of Sam. I'm also in the believer group.
Our corners will be more athletic next year. Our front should improve (which I think is our biggest defensive issue, we get 0 rush).
I believe LJH is gone is think CJ comes back. Our biggest loss outside of LJH will be Brandon Jones he has really improved this year and I don't see him coming back
I hope he comes back.I love Brandon Jones, but I'm not sure I buy he is a 1-3 round pick this year. I think he will be told that its recommended he return for his senior year to improve his ball and coverage skills. That's just my opinion though.
Wow, I'm not sure I see a 1st round pick out of him this year. He is pretty good in run support, but his coverage skills are not elite right now. But hey, if he has a 1st round grade then he should take it.I hope he comes back.
I have already seen him in Mocks as high as the 1st round.
One thing that has annoyed the heck out of me all year is the Delay of Games off the kick return. We had another one today , we have had at least 1 a game. It's just poor coaching
