*****GAME THREAD - BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP: TEXAS vs. OKLAHOMA*****

Need to end the year on a good note and win the bowl game. Good season, but had the possibility to be so much more.

I’m betting Sam took the L with class unlike Murray last time.  Guy is a putz.  My nephew went to him, claims him as a friend but I’m guessing more school acquaintance.  Said he was distant and off by himself with his his HA team frequently.  Spoiled kid, learned from his dad.

There is your ball game and the victory at the Red River Shootout has been just wiped away as if it does not exist  with this loss today.  Damn !!!!!
Seriously? The victory at the Red River Shootout got wiped away? Come on man, you got to be better than that.

Penalties on Boyd killed us. But no matter how you look at it the drive where refs missed a Blantent PI did it in for me. Marching down for a score then that bullshit.

The future looks bright for texas..but its another wait until next year blah blah blah meanwhile our rival hoists another trophy. Texas couldnt score 40 on the worst ou defense in years Make me Sick to my stomach.

Another game we could have won... and didn’t. There’s a difference in members here being negative and being truthful. Sometimes the truth is negative. We could have won this... and did what we did in every other loss this year.
The problem is that most of the negative nancey's on here don't know the difference between being negative and being truthful. And still wouldn't know it if it bit them in the butt.

This game summary:

Numerous missed opportunities.  We gave ou too many chances and didnt close out when we had had opportunities.

Shot ourselves in the foot with god awful penalties.

K Boyd was ou leading yard gainer in the first half.  Buh-bye

OL, no push or pocket

My biggest disappointment, aside from the loss, was our inability to run the ball with our RB’s. Sam had some good runs but our backs never really got on track. That’s something that needs to be fixed if we want to recruit elite RB’s

It is kinda hard to argue with an OU Fan and say  "Hey we won the Red Shootout"   and their reply is who the fu@k cares we just beat your ass for the conference championship !

Funny how they can spot everything we do wrong. Shit
I've been a Big 12 proponent for a long time but I am tired of the officiating in this league. The games are too long and the officiating is poor. It's time for Texas and OU to bolt to the Big 10.

I am always open to hearing if my perspective isn’t accurate... but I am uber unhappy with the mentality that Herman brings to this program. Unless that shifts we are going to lose a lot of games that we could and should win.

Maybe I'm a sunshine pumper here, but this was a really, really good season.  Yeah they lost the B12 CCG today, but they played their asses off against what I think is the best offense I've seen in many years.  Yeah, the overall offense broke down at times, but this was a QB none of us thought would be the starter at the beginning of the year.  Btw, he is only a sophomore.  He is only going to get better.  This team will be better in all areas (maybe not LB) next year.  If LJH and Collin come back, then this offense will be 10x improved. I think the DBs will be more solid and athletic than this year.

I have my Orange colored shades on because the future looks very bright.

Couldn’t agree more. The direction of this program is on track.
